Munich Re and Great Lakes moved from two different buildings into our new offices at Plantation Place in August 2007. We started off with a staggering amount of filing in both locations with all of our staff filing their work in different ways.

Although we were moving to bigger premises, we did have a filing space issue and had to cut down our filing by nearly 50%. Fileworks consulted with us to reduce our filing by means of a more space efficient filing system as well as an introduction to enhanced archiving solutions applicable to our business.

Fileworks supported Munich Re and Great Lakes in our filing reductions prior to the move by setting up and becoming an integral part of our project team. They came up with a solution to use landscape files instead of portrait, thus allowing more shelf space per cabinet. They also sourced and costed out all the different files that we would need to make our business more filing efficient.

They introduced us to a new archive storage company who offered us a better service and was more cost efficient so due to archiving and the new style of filing, we were easily able to achieve our target, come move date.

In the week leading up to the move and during the process itself, Fileworks staff were on hand to assist and worked tirelessly with our move company, through long days and some stressful times to ensure that come the start of business on the Monday morning, our filing was in the correct order and in the correct place in our new building. Fileworks completely managed the filing move on our behalf and dealt any complications arising following the move.

Our move project was greatly helped by the direct involvement and commitment of the Fileworks team. The team that supported us through the relocation were friendly, efficient and professional – having them in place made the relocation that much smoother and led to very little staff down time. Fileworks communicated well with the team representatives so that on day one, all teams were aware of where their filing was and could get to grips with settling at their desks and enjoying their new office space. I would certainly use Fileworks again for any other moves that we may undertake and would not hesitate in recommending their services to others.
